Our Programs

you don't need your large size clothes anymore, donate them and help someone else

you don't need your large size clothes anymore, donate them and help someone else

You have experienced dramatic weight loss and  totally changed your life for the good, now help change someone else's life.  Pounds of Clothes wants to help you help others.  We are seeking your clothes that no longer fit you and that you will NEVER need to wear again! Help those experiencing homelessness, foster children, runaways, and people seeking employment by donating your clothes that you no longer can wear.  We take donations for men and women's casual and business attire.  The clothing should be clean, in good condition, free of rips and tears.  We will make sure your clothes are provided to people in need.

weight bias is real

While some of us have had success in our efforts to lose weight and get healthier, many of us still struggle.  As we think about diversity, equity and inclusion, large size people are often discriminated against or viewed as lazy and unmotivated.  This form of bias is not being talked about.  Our mission is to change this and to bring awareness to this type of discrimination and bias.  Just because some of us are smaller now does not mean we can forget from where we came and what challenges some of us faced seeking employment, getting healthcare or even housing.  We are committed to bringing greater awareness.
